Friday Night Pub Crawl

We check out some of the waterfront hot spots with beautiful ocean views. Van transportation between the general Pub Crawl area and the hotel will be available and crawlers will have a planned order of stops… but once the Crawl departs there is no set time at each stop! $5 fee.

Annual Business Meeting (Monday)

All Mensa members (and guests when approved) are welcome to find out what has happened in GLAAM during the preceding year and what the Boardâ's vision is for the future. We will also plan what performances to attend at the Hollywood Bowl this summer, and we will have drawings for the Volunteer Raffle. Three drawings will be held for $50 each (one win per person), and several drawings for other special items will follow.

Dress Like a Sailor Night (Saturday)

It can be any little thing - Boat shoes, a Captain's hat, a Shirt with a Nautical theme, anything simple. This is not a costume contest, just a chance to get into the mood of the theme, Nautical but Nice. Take it a step further and talk like a sailor...or a pirate!

Generation X/Y Meet & Greet

Want to meet others your age? GenX and Gen Y will get together to start the RG off right. We are open to anyone interested in activities and discussions focused on people in Generation X (1961–1981) or Y (1976–1990), which is anyone in their 20s, 30s, and 40s.

Battleship Iowa Tour

Join GLAAM on a tour of the BATTLESHIP USS IOWA In San Pedro on Sunday afternoon. Register for the tour of the Battleship Iowa($14.45 - Seniors 62+, $14.45 - Military, $17.45 - Adults 12-61, $9.50 - Children 6-11, Free - Children 5 & under). Take the San Pedro Trolley (free) or drive to the ship's parking lot (fee). Gather with our GLAAM Board leader, Bruce Smith, on the sidewalk near the bow of the ship to meet with the tour guide.
