Kids Track with Madeline Walker
The RG goes on all 4 days of Presidents Day weekend, and young people and their families are welcome to attend the whole time, but for those of you who just want to try the RG out, we focus the Youth Gathering on the afternoon of that Saturday. Younger kids will have crafts, games, dance movement, a scavenger hunt, and other activities. Older kids can meet each other in Hospitality for tasty treats and perhaps a game or two, then can wander about in gangs.

For the first time ever, the sumptuous Saturday Night Banquet is included in your StaRGazing 2008 registration fee. Featuring Roast Pork Loin with Chipotle Apple Sauce; Chicken Marsala; Caesar, Greek, Oriental, and Tomato Mozzarella Salads; Vegetarian Pasta; Assorted Cheese Tray; Relish Tray; Sliced Seasonal Fresh Fruit Platter; Seasonal Vegetables; Rolls and Butter; Coffee, Tea, and Milk; and German Chocolate Cake.
Keynote Speaker: Thom Hartmann
StaRGazing 2008 is pleased to announce Thom Hartmann as its Keynote Speaker. Thom is a nationally syndicated talk show host on Air America Radio. His program is carried live locally on KTLK-AM 1150 and he is the highest-rated progressive talk host in America. Thom is also a New York Times best-selling author on the subjects of progressive politics and ADD/ADHD. Details on Thom's talk to be announced.
Saturday Night Dance with DJ K
Put on your dancing shoes and your best dressy eveningwear for StaRGazing 2008's traditional Saturday Night Dance. Your host, DJ K is the former Chief DJ for Club Med Vacation resorts and brings thousands of dance songs to the party including Top-40, Classic Rock, Disco / Funk & Old School, R&B and Hip-Hop, Alternative Rock, Flashback 80's & 90's Country, Classical, Jazz, Spanish (Salsa/Marengue/Cumbias) and everybody's favorite, Karaoke!
In an effort to increase our giving to benefit scholarships for undergraduate students in our area, GLAAM is supporting a local MERF scholarship. Kevin Kataoka is one of the hardest working comics in America having worked on "America's Funniest Home Videos", "Mad TV", various VH1 shows, "Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist", as well as being a segment producer for "Blind Date".
Blaine Capatch (Host)
Blaine Capatch is best known for being the host of “Beat the Geeks”. He has also appeared on “Mind of Mencia”, “Mad TV”, and “Mr. Show with Bob and David”, “Late Friday” “Comedy Central's Premium Blend” and “The Comedians of Comedy”. He has written for “Blue Collar TV”, “The Jamie Kennedy Experiment”, “The Martin Short Show”, and “Mad TV”.
Lizzie Cooperman is young, but a veteran performer having done her stand-up on the “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”.

Brandon Burkhart made it to the final 11 on 1 vs. 100 before the 1 quit. Performs sketch comedy at various venues all over Hollywood. Writes comedy bits for syndication service Premiere Radio Networks. Star of independent films Match and Hollywood and Vine.
Shawn Carlow performs stand-up at venues all over Hollywood. Staff writer for the critically-acclaimed, current-events-based, sketch comedy show Big News at IO West in Hollywood.
Matt Manser is one of the hardest working stand-ups in Hollywood.
Hollywood stand-up and Member of Mensa. Host of the popular (and notorious) “Dirtiest Sketch Contest” at the UCB theater in Hollywood.
